i don't have to go to the salon anymore. (well, maybe soon). but oh, would you know any good / decent saloons out there that would cater to hijab wearing women? i used to head over to a cut above but am not too sure if they do have a special section or a cordoned off area for hijab wearing women. gotta check.
anyways, back to reading. my sis and i grew up reading lots of enid blyton's books. we actually amassed a huge collection over the years and looking back, i think books were the greatest form of escapism for me then. i love all adventure books writter by ms. blyton (yes yes, she's female mind you). i can't remember the name now but there was this particular book which i would read over and over again. it was about a 3 siblings and their neighbour (can't remember it now) who decided to run and live on an island. oh the adventures!! it was lovely.
i used to like naughthy amelia jane too. and the fantastic four, the magic faraway tree, the flying chair (or something like that), the three golliwogs, malory towers... the list goes on and on!! i really have to thank enid blyton for all the books she wrote because it taught me alot of things. not to mention a love for reading and now, writing. of course as i grew i developed a liking for other authors like road dahl, john grisham, sophie kinsella, sue townsend (you've got to read the adrian mole series, hilarious!!), jodi picault, harlen coben dan brown and many many more...
i hope ian will grow up with a love for reading as i did. it's a precious hobby, and one that i know i would love forever...
books... i love books!!!
*sigh* :)
